How to be a good worker? 1

1. Understand that God anoints you for trouble.

Who wants to be anointed for trouble? I just want to live a peaceful life jare!

This is what I used to say years ago when I gave my life to Christ. When I faced obstacles, my first response was to fight physically and I hated authority so much because I thought that authority was created to hurt me or hinder me or stop me.

Authority is instituted by God and it is for your good.

For this to benefit you, you must believe that the word of God is the final authority. Believe it.
It is true.

Be sure you are a Christian.
Christianity is making Jesus Lord. Then it is living with Jesus as Lord every day. Then it is living surrendered daily. Then it is called living surrendered to God's will, thought and plan (in the specifics) for your life.

The only way to get the specifics is to spend time daily with God and to spend time learning to acknowledge that the Spirit of God has been put on the earth to help you.

Put on the armor of God before going to work.
You might not understand why you must go to work armed. Work is an arena in which you can live with Jesus as your Lord or you can conform to the world's work response. There's the place of not taking bribes, there's the place of working as unto the Lord. Doing your very best because God is your boss. If you are able to do this, you will live the Christ life and show people the Lord through the way you live.
You will either do this or you will be two people, a good Christian in your church or just like the rest of the world in your office. God wants the former. Do you want to please Him?

Ensure you are prepared and empowered for each day.
I don't know if I am empowered everyday but I get up daily as much as I can desiring to please God. If making profit through the wrong means stands in the way of me pleasing God, I pray I will choose God instead of making money the wrong way.

I stand up preparing to do my work in a way that would glorify Him by the grace of God and to stand up and not hide Him or my knowing Him by my words, thoughts and actions.
